ESPLOST

“The Meriwether County Board of Education would like to thank the Meriwether County voters for renewing the education penny sales tax, ESPLOST VII, thus extending the 1% collection for another five years. ESPLOST VII passed with over 80% approval.

This was an important vote for our schools, our students, our families, and our local community. The Board would like to thank everyone who came out to vote and offer a special thanks to those who voted for ESPLOST VII.  The Board appreciates our county’s continued investment in our children’s future and looks forward to this opportunity to provide exceptional facilities and services for our children.

With this successful vote, Meriwether County Schools can continue building for the future while preparing our scholars for the world they will inherit.  The ESPLOST VII plans for our schools are focused on the future and will provide an excellent return on investment for the families of Meriwether County.
